Philosophy and strategy

I foster an understanding of what each element of the winemaking process, each production segment, contributes to maximize the winery's chances of success in the marketplace.

I analyze in detail all the work from the vineyard to marketing, asking myself at each step how and why things are done. This examination leads to a short, medium and long term strategy on what improvements to implement in the business to maximize profitability, efficiency and chances of success.

Oenology and viticulture

I address all the elements within the technical area, implementing changes in both cultivation and winemaking practices: planting systems, varieties, soil analysis, harvesting time, winemaking, aging, etc. I determine which practices are the most appropriate for the wines that will make up the offer.

Marketing

Development of a market attack strategy, maximizing the impact of the wines through the right choice of sales channel, sales agents, export markets, pricing strategies, etc.

Communication

I build a coherent and emotional discourse around why wines are made in the winery. Wine is an element of joy, reflection, customs, but above all it has to contain more than just liquid in the bottle. It has to have a story behind it that accompanies the consumer's experience, that supports the raison d'être, the passion that drives a new production every year.

Exports

In an increasingly global and competitive world, it is absolutely necessary to have a strategy for approaching foreign markets, with realistic objectives for each market, in the short, medium and long term that will allow the commercial development of the project.

Tasting training

This is an industry that often talks about ill-defined concepts. I teach you to differentiate what is minerality, and its different types. How it is expressed. What makes a wine qualitatively better and why. To understand the future evolution of your wines in bottle and their organoleptic balance.
At Compass Wine Consulting I focus on the analysis of your business and look for the keys to adjust in your protocols. I will build a dialogue to understand which are the areas that need more effort and improvement, and which ones to attack later on.
