From Biology to the world of wine

My name is Daniel González In 1993, while still a young Biological Sciences student at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, I had an unexpected revelation: I really did not want to pursue a career in Biology. Looking for a way to direct my steps, in an initial entrepreneurial venture in the industrial sector I obtained valuable experience to tackle the challenges involved in running a company.

Discovering Viticulture

A coincidence led me to the Escuela de la Vid y el Vino (Vineyards and Wine School) in Madrid, where I discovered the complexity and beauty of the wine industry.

From there, I trained as a Technical Specialist in Wine and Viticulture, complementing my training with a Master program in Sommellerie from the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, where I finished number one in my class.

A 22-year Journey

In 2002, I was hired by European Cellars, a leader in wine importation in the United States. For more than two decades I played a key role in the company’s growth and consolidation, collaborating with wineries to improve their products and business strategies.

During this period, I continued to expand my training, completing a Master’s program in International Wine Commercialization and Marketing.
